Significance of tattoos owl

The first thing to remember when talking about tattoos of owls is the wisdom and experience, possibly having their origin in Greek culture, where the owls were the bird sacred that accompanies the goddess Athena. The owls are also remembered by animals are nocturnal hunters having a great spiritual symbolism, and is also known as "Angels of Death", or "goddesses of the Night", being considered messengers for witches, magicians and their relationship with the spiritual side.


In China, some beliefs claim that an owl young removes the eyes of their own mother to mediatedsuch, and are linked to hand Yang (Yin Yang), with some negative connotations and destructive in its meaning.

For being a bird of medium/large, tattoos of owls tend to be very detailed references in several variations of styles (black/white, Lineart & halftone, color) and positions (flying, sitting on books,branches,etc).



Many people also make tattoos owl, simply by their physical characteristics: wide eyes, short nose, quite different from the head, short stature, and can be very colorful.
